Mustafa A. Uzdenov was born on 18.11.1952. Graduated from the Stavropol State Medical Institute in 1977 (Faculty of General Medicine).
1977–1978: clinical internship in surgery in the Department of Surgery at the City Hospital of Cherkessk.
1978–1982: surgeon in the polyclinic of Prikubansky district.
1982–2001: emergency surgeon in the Department of Surgery, urologist in the Department of Urology, City Hospital of Cherkessk.
On 07.06.2001, he became the head of the Department of Urology at the Republican Clinical Hospital.
Dr. Uzdenov has had multiple trainings in leading urological clinics in Russia, including the Department of Urology of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Research Institute of Urology, Ministry of Health of Russia, etc. He has co-authored more than 80 research articles, 5 textbooks, 2 patents of the Russian Federation (for the development of new surgical methods of treatment), and 3 certificates for improvement.
In February 2018, he became the acting head of the Department of Surgical Diseases with the Course of Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery, Medical Institution, North Caucasian State Academy. The following disciplines are taught at this department: general surgery, radiation diagnostics, general surgery, surgical diseases, faculty surgery and urology, obstetrics and gynecology, traumatology, and orthopedics.
The main directions of research and practical activity: urolithiasis, reconstructive plastic urology, infectious and inflammatory diseases in urology, urological oncology.
Thesis:
In 2001, Dr. Uzdenov was awarded the degree of candidate of medical sciences by the Dissertation Council of M.F. Vladimirsky Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute; the dissertation was entitled “Metaphylaxis of urolithiasis”.
In 2014, Dr. Uzdenov was awarded the degree of doctor of medical sciences by the Dissertation Council of the Research Institute of Urology; the dissertation was entitled “Urolithiasis in the endemic region of the North Caucasus – Karachay-Cherkessia (epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations. Treatment and metaphylaxis)”.
Dr. Uzdenov is the head of Department of Surgical Diseases of the North Caucasian State Academy, excellent healthcare professional of the Russian Federation, Honored Doctor of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, doctor of medical sciences, urologist of the highest qualification category, member of the Board of the Russian Society of Urologists, chief consultant for urology of the Ministry of Health of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
